View Adviser Listing Welcome to the Legal Studies Department Enroll in the Legal Studies Department and learn the practical skills you need to obtain a rewarding position in the legal field. We offer two Paralegal programs: Our 2-year, American Bar Association (ABA)-approved, Associate of Applied Science program is our regular program for students wishing to acquire a degree in paralegal studies. Our 1-year, ABA-approved, Paralegal Plus Certificate is for students who have already completed a bachelor’s degree and wish to acquire a paralegal certificate. We are the only ABA approved paralegal training program in Seattle and King County. Students must complete 13.5 quarter credits of legal specialty coursework through synchronous instruction. Transfer of legal specialty credit from other institutions is limited to a maximum of 15 quarter credits. What higher-education options are there for training to work in the legal field?
